About
Liz started VIP Biography in 2002 to encourage individuals to record their life story. Since then, many have completed their video biographies and encouraged others to do the same. Liz is an Assistant Professor for Westcliff University and a member of several lineage societies. She developed an onsite workshop for the various genealogy research associations, Cedars-Sinai Hospice Care, religious organizations and the Long Beach Senior Center. In the workshop, Liz describes the kinds of pictures and memorabilia to gather for a video slideshow, how to choose topics individuals wish to include, how to prepare for a video interview and how to solicit the help of friends and family members.
She offers Guided Autobiography (GAB) workshops developed by Dr. James E. Birren the founding dean of the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and an aging research pioneer considered by many to be the father of modern gerontology.
